Will you provide me with an organizer to guide me in gathering my information for my tax return?

Yes. If we prepared your tax return last year, you will receive an organizer in the mail in December or January. If you are a new client, simply call and ask for one.

Would you accept my information for preparing tax returns in an electronic format such as .pdf or Excel files?

Yes. In fact, we prefer them that way. We support a variety of file types and you can email them or drop off a disk or flash drive.

Do you offer refund anticipation loans?

No.

Do you efile tax returns?

We efile individual Federal and Arizona tax returns. We paper file other states and business returns.

How much does it cost to have a tax return prepared by a CPA?

The fees for tax return preparation vary. The cost will depend on the complexity of the tax return, the completeness and organization of your information and the time it takes to prepare. Before we begin work on any tax return, we will estimate the fees to complete it.

Do you provide investment advice?

We are not investment advisors, so if you require those services, we can recommend one of the excellent investment professionals in the West Valley. We will work with your investment advisor to determine the tax effects of your investment decisions and help you with your tax planning.

How long does it take to complete my tax return?

It depends on three things: timing, complexity of the return and completeness of your information. The earlier in tax season you bring in your return, the faster it will be completed. If your return is complex or if we have to wait for information, it will likely take longer. At any time, you can call for an estimate of how long it will take to complete your tax return. Above all, we want your return to be accurate, so the extra time we may have to take is well worth it.

What accounting software do you recommend?

The answer to that depends on your particular needs. We support several software packages, but the most commonly used by our clients is QuickBooks. If your business is small and just getting started, you may also consider PostBooks, which is an open source accounting software package.
